They just announced a new 2D Mario. Just call it Super Mario Bros Acid Trip.

Honestly the big news for the new 2D Mario is that Daisy is in it. And that they were clearly on psychedelics when making it.

Also there's a new Princess Peach game coming (untitled, early development). Now that Tears is done they were very Mario heavy (RPG, Peach, Mario/Rabbids DLC, Mario Kart 8 DLC, Mario Acid Trip, 3DS Luigi Mansion remake.

i'm watching it now, this Mythforce game looks decent

it looked cool. I can tell they're inspired by old Saturday morning cartoons. I hope it does well and they can get a Thundercats license or something for a new game.
