Can only second this. Fuckin' awesome time... and with all the options you have available, it fits all kinds of different player styles. So trying it out can't really go wrong.

Plus if one wanted to, they could play it as a horror game, since the difficulty setting "Blood and Dust" is just hard enough to make it stressful, while "Losing is Fun" is a tad unbeatable in late-game.

If they haven't changed a lot, then the game options are also extremely customizable... also the game has a huge modding scene.

Like Grim said... you can basically go with a survival horror approach... or go the opposite way and basically make a community simulator, without real dangers, out of it.
