Don't get me wrong though, there's some excellent horror films in the period, but the mainstream films were all pretty hot garbage.

Some great flicks imo for that period are: 28 Days Later, American Psycho, The Descent, and The Mist, but that's a pretty short list.

I am a big fan of Battle Royal but yeah at least US horror cinema was waning a bit. Most kinda were terrible but had a twist that stuck with horror fans like Orphan.

It'll be mostly decades until we get to the 2000s, I'm gonna run it from 2000 until 2012 and then 2013 to now.
