But yes, the Sun is entering its final phase of an 11 year solar cycle, and there have been some pretty gnarly flares. One even knocked out a satellite. There is even a larger than expected sun spot that maybe facing directly at us. It's fascinating stuff, even if it could kill us.

The James Webb Telescope has really been producing some interesting images lately too. Possible artificial lights on other planets, etc.
