Turner loves wrestling with a passion, and especially loved Jim Crockett Promotions, so much so he was willing to overpay for it just to keep it on hus TV.

If Turner Broadcasting never merged with Time Warner, yeah, I think WCW stays fairly secure. It wouldn't even matter with WWF's dominance too. Still though, that Russo era is damn near unwatchable.

Good is pretty subjective, but it would definitely still be the biggest alternative to WWE. Plus Impact probably never happens.

AEW already has its core, and it's doing perfectly fine. It took JCP/WCW about 10 years to catch up to WWE

fair enough but as long it could hold up financially then of course it would be good enough to remain as the WWE alternative

I will also say that JCP always had a core fan group, mostly settled in Southeastern America.

For AEW, their core group in my opinion has been the folks looking for something different to WWE and who abandoned Impact after 2011.

If AEW's merch sales don't keep it afloat, they're fucked but Khan seems to know what he's doin'. Gettin' rid of excess talent when needed
