If you want stay, that up to you. We haven’t taken any action on you. I told staff I pushed for your input so it wouldn’t be fair to punish you in a more significant way, but let’s be clear the only thing we’re asking from you is to not compare people to objects. You’ve been allowed to disagree with institution of gay marriage as a concept and constitutional law for days. Your opinion on that was never the problem as far as breaking the rules goes. It’s the political thread. Some people will disagree with popular policies. Just don’t dehumanize people as whole.

I feel that’s a pretty fair and low bar. I hope you stay if you feel comfortable, but that’s entirely up to you.

Perhaps, but I mean they’re all gone now for the most part and it doesn’t get more official than making a forum post and consistently updating the rules thread. You know you’re as fair as possible when both sides of the issues think you’re simultaneously too strict and too relaxed. It’s not a fun tightrope to walk.

I legitimately pushed Dak to give me his opinion on why gay marriage shouldn’t be legal. I’d say at least 20 times. That’s my fault. I’ll know better going forward to let someone not answer something if it’ll get them in trouble.
