People really need to see the original cut of Once Upon a Time in America, it does to the gangster what Once Upon A Time in the West did to the gunslinger. Buried them both as relics that do not deserve to be romanticised, but pitied and viewed for what they are, disgusting, violent, cruel people.

I guess, and I am maybe the best here in terms of show writing just because I have done it so much over the years. Considering the first match I wrote people were saying "Main event calibur" on a match I wasn't aiming for said level on.

Although that one scene from OUATIA is uh, extremely uncomfortable.

Even a similar scene from OUATITW is not nearly as grossly uncomfortable, more as something seen as a necessary evil for the survival of Jill, but woof, in In America, Deborah's scene has no other reason than to make De Niro's character utterly reprehensible.

I've sort of wrote my matches mostly beat for beat. That is kinda my style, guide the reader through the story and build to the end. Honestly that I do by planning most my matches, like what to do if each person is in control, etc.
