My Boyfriend is in Gulfport Mississippi right now with his Dad for his Younger brother's Graduation from Air Force Construction Engineer Training Boot Camp. I hope the storm doesn't come near them. *Looks around worriedly*

A derecho is basically a tornado cluster, in a sense.

The Midwest and Southern Canada gets them a ton, so they're not that surprising.
