For all intents and purposes though, REmake was far and away a better re-imagining of the Mansion Incident and everything about is objectively superior, visuals, character work, scares, enemy patterns and types, blah blah blah Barry ranting about something yet again in main.

If they didn't change anything else but still kept Lisa Trevor in, REmake would have still been the superior version, because her entire story arc is integral not only to the series as a whole, but it's a recontextualization of just how dag-nasty evil Umbrella was.

I don't think RE3 : Nemesis can be phased out though, for one simple reason; it's by far *the* most popular one to speedrun.

If I ever do a deep dive for RE3, you'd be surprised by just how much RNG is required to even have a semi-decent run.

There's a 50/50 chance of your game starting off with the Magnum or the Grenade Launcher in the STARS office, and speedrunners hate the Magnum because it's not only slower, it requires more gunpowder to build ammo for. Secondly, the Enemy types have very random AI, Zombies being arguably their most dangerous in RE3 because of their dash ability at the most inconvenient of times.

Pretty much yeah.

And outside of the first fight in the Police Station, NEMESIS's AI is one of the most random and annoying of all bosses in RE history outside of maybe Black Tiger from RE1

Black Tiger only has like three-set attacks, but they can instantly happen and you have like zero chance to dodge it.
