hell, you could make the argument Darby came to wrestling from pro skating. not that different than pro sports. wrestlers are athletes who realized they like theatre class too

but I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that has transitioned from another sport because they were told they'd make a good wrestler who has done something as crazy and being thrown from the top of the cage a la foley, or go through a bunch of tables like sting was doing at 50 something years old the other week

yeah i think those would be the closest examples but it still is kind of not the best because they are 2nd and 3rd generation
