In other news, I'm practicing my match writing. Tryna work out my main flaws. Some I noticed are that the winner is easy to tell based on how I'm writing or that spots/reversals are easy to telegraph. I think I'm getting better, gonna try my hand at a casual Rumble match to really try and get that progression

Without getting into specifics, what I kind of do is I generally have a plan for my matches. But it isn't just listing moves really per-say. I sort of look at the characters involved and what stories can be told throughout the match. I think stuff like their in-ring style, I play off of what was said in promos and the storyline already, and add some character moments.

That is kind of why my style tends to be so detailed, though it isn't for everyone, but some of those things are universal.

Sort of think the story, and it doesn't always need to be back and forth to be "less obvious" who wins.

I think I'll use an example of the last stage of the Tag Turmoil from last show. It was Northern Touch and the Bourdeuxs. The Bourdeuxs just had a match against The Residence where Bret is relatively fresh and Trixie, the rookie, got battered.

So I had the story of Bret at first being hesitant to let Trixie in because she is beaten down and he's worried. Then the Northern Touch, started to get cocky in their promos. Eventually when Trixie gets in, she gets some heat in, but her inexperience costs her. But the Northern Touch, riding high, gets too cocky and it leads to mistakes of their own.

And in reality, near the end, a few things could have happened, either Bret makes the save, Trixie falls, or Northern Touch get caught off guard. Which in the end, it was the last.

Yeah. Match story is something I need to focus on. I kinda mostly just write the moves and what the wrestlers would do, but that's some good advice. I could probably tune up one of my practice matches with that, expanding from Cocky Young Heel overestimates Seasoned Veteran to a young heel toying with a seasoned veteran by using cheap tactics, all to impress his legend mentor.

Cali vs Rin Tsukiyama. I know it is a bit long, but there is a story. Cali, being the younger wrestler with a chip on her shoulder vs basically the Female Tanahashi. Fan favourite, big heart. Cali is out of her element at first, but eventually off of a nasty fall, she is able to take control but makes some mistakes, gets frustrated, takes some risks she maybe didn't need to take.
