Plying morals and ethics to science is simply a task that will continue to fail because there will always be people who believe the pursuit of knowledge will always be more important than the temporary suffering of others. As fucked up as that is, it is a viewpoint that is certainly a valid concept and is outright an open secret in the scientific community.
