I had a rookie in NHL 21 on my Portland Dragons go from a High Top 6 to a Medium Elite by waiting a year or two before putting him on the main roster, then when I got him there, put him on a line where he had +5 chemistry and he thrived

Its even the top level ones though, unless they improved it, I only buy a new nhl game every 4 years or so

I wanted him to at least just Sim a whole season but every time he tried he'd lose one game and say fuck this and decide he wanted to play them...and then decide he just wanted to start over
