If Benoit existed in the modern times with the information we have on brain injuries, drugs, and mental health now, then there is a chance the incident would not have happened.

But in a, kind of sad, twist, if his incident didn't happen, then arguably there wouldn't have been as much of a push to fix it in some sports and especially wrestling.

Benoit's death is sadly like that of Minnesota Viking Korey Stringer. Both died for reasons that at the time were not understood or cared about, and now everyone knows that both concussions and heatstroke are serious fucking deals
