That's probably how I'd use it. Seems good for those gaming sessions that don't require full attention and time.

I'd recommend the regular switch over the switch lite.

even if you play it only in handheld mode the screen is bigger and the battery lasts longer, plus you have the dock just in case you want to hook it up to the tv. there is no way to hook up a lite to a tv.

also some games you have to use joycons(super mario party) so either you just can't play that game on switch lite or you have to buy extra controllers to pair up with it and then prop the lite up against a stand or something to play it.

And it's like a $100 difference? Feels worth it for all the features the full version has compared to lite

I could have got a lite last year for $200 but didn't even tho I'd probably mostly use it for handheld

I will say, the lite feels better in your hands than a regular but that's the only plus.

the regular feels wonky because the joycons can come off so you can kind of feel them move around on you while you're playing where the lite is a solid piece of plastic.
