I had a funny thing happen to me in CK2. Playing as Harald Hardrada (King of Norway) went up against Harold Godwinson (King of England) and William The Conquerer (Duke of Normandy) for England; shockingly William won the war against Harold Godwinson, but then I come in and win the war against him. So William The Conquerer was King of England for a grand total of three months before I won and he became Duke of Essex. Man lost his homelands and fucking lost the crown too lmfao

In 1066, you either play as Poland, Kievan Rus, Lithuania, or if you're really looking to be interesting, Bavaria and try to declare independence from the Holy Roman Empire.
