What do the tories do for you up there lol? I feel like people in the North vote tory for some idealism that never usually benefits them directly, which is strange because most people that vote Tory do it for the self interest as they're pretty anti socialism.

Like the idealism that labour want to tax people that earn 80k a year more which people are like omg thats disgusting, whilst earning 20k themselves lolol

Well i am anti socialisim as it never works out in reality, but to say the tories have never done anything up here a bit unfair as they havent had the chance due to the red wall bloc. Now it been knocked down lets see if they do improve things and keep the areas or if they do just continue the north/south devide

Starmers so called fence sitting as the NEC control policy and he can't really say what he wants due to the union funding etc its funked up,ATM

Idk, I feel like the poor people up here were quite a bit better off before that universal credit shite got introduced. But yeah I', of the opinion that it'll be interesting to see how this term goes too and whether they do bother trying to keep hold of their newly gained seats or not. It's a good opportunity for them but they don't seem particularly well run atm so they'll probably blow it anyways, use covid as an excuse etm
