How did it absorb so many databases? Did people like just give them or sell them? I'm just like really curious about it..

I think Smark bought them for pennies or maybe for for free if the members came over here but idk

I know like in the case of my old site, we were gonna try and merge it a few months ago but the two forums weren't compatible with it or something

Nah I was just an admit at a small forum that moved over here

So I went in and found the data Smark needed to merge just to add some extra posts to the overall site (and to me of course), but it wouldn't work for whatever reason

We moved over here in 2012, so the site's been dead since then give or take a few ill-attempted revivals
