I guess it probably makes things better that he's gone for a bit because I intended to turn him heel for the story I had in mind

Yeah. I'll go ahead and fill you in on it cause I think it's kinda nice.

Curt and Larry Hennig were the tag champs all the way until Larry retired. So obviously the titles were vacated. Curt had to find a new partner, and Larry recruited Scott Hall. Curt and Scott won the tag titles after the vacancy and were managed by Larry. They've been champs for months but they're obviously gonna have to vacate.

So now, Curt is going to have a singles career. But he'll have some struggles. Once Hall returns I want to have a tournament to determine a new number one contender for the TV title. Scott and Curt will meet in the finals where Larry will betray his son, as he's lost faith in him and thinks Scott is the future.

And from there, Hall will win the title and Curt will have to battle his way back through the roster to defeat Hall and prove his father wrong.

I don't love the AWA International Television title's name though

Well Scott will be a bona fide main eventer by the end of this. Actually, he's already a main eventer, he's just been in this tag team so I haven't really treated him like it.

I got my 1996 WWF, and I'm going to try and keep Hall and Nash from leaving. I got Hall as Champion right now.
