No it's bible belt people here, idk what it's like in Arizona but all the old people that still drink are the ones voting to keep liqour out of town

When I was in 6th grade before beer and wine was even legal to be sold my teacher spent a whole class period campaigning to us for why we should go home and tell our parents to vote against legalizing it

She told us how she'd pass out flyers and shit telling people to vote against it at grocery stores

You didn't drink until you were in 7th?

I actually started relatively late, 16ish, a few months or so until I turned 17

Mostly bc that's when my friends started drinking and I was always too scared of my parents to take their stuff bc my dad lied and said he counted his beers which I now realize I was dumb to believe

Oh and not being able to buy alcohol in my town until 2014 when I had already graduated high school made it harder

Honestly, I did ocassionally drink with friends but I didn't flow blown become an alcoholic before I was at least 20
