General Chit-Chat Thread - No Spoilers

We've been hit decently hard by hurricanes here but they rarely get this far inland, we usually just get a lot of rain from the outsides of them if anything

We had some earthquakes a few years ago before they cracked down on the fracking, those were unsettling

Tornados I guess are common but I've never actually witnessed one close having been here all my life so that's interesting and slightly worrisome

We really only have flash floods and dust storms. I have a crawl space under my house so I don't even gotta worry about the flash floods

Yeah, I figured you'd be in tornado alley

The lake I live on has flooded pretty bad the last few years at times but it still hasn't got close enough to my house to really worry us

Thankfully the people that built our house designed everything smartly

We lost a couple fridges that we had on the boat house though gave up on keeping one out there, I told my dad coolers would be fine

One time was wild, we put kayaks in literally the middle of our yard and paddled to the boat house which was covered by about 4 feet of water to make sure the boat was still tied in fine

I really think it's purely a coincidence I've never been hit by a tornado tbh, they're always all around us

Feels like they've been way more common the last couple years
