I struggle with those threads because I always want to grade people relative to how I graded others but sometimes that contradicts my first instinct

Yeah that's why overall I hate rating things bc I compare it to other ratings of mine in the past. I'm much better at picking head to head winners than ranking things

Like say I give Shinsuke a 7 in ring and then someone comes up I might think they deserve better than a 7, but at the same time I'm not sure they're better than Shinsuke... I'm like shit. I guess I'll give them a 7 and just call it even.

He counts all the ratings, but also gives an average for "real" ratings too that ignore troll ratings
