Watching Bash at the Beach 1998 right now and it strikes me as odd that just a week before this they were in the Georgia Dome for Nitro and sold over 30,000 tickets... but then they hold this PPV in a venue that only fits about 10,000 people. And surely considering you had the Rodman/Hogan vs. Malone/Page tag match on here, as well as Goldberg's firs title defense, you could draw a lot more people than that.

Obviously they couldn't have known just how successful the Georgia Dome show would be and they probably had this venue booked a couple of months in advance, but it's still weird.

It was their second highest bought PPV in history and outdrew WrestleMania that year so it could have easily filled out a larger arena.

I just think WCW tried to stay loyal to venues that cut them good deals in harder times and keep towns happy that always came out to see them.
