I genuinely have no idea. The only promos I remember him cutting was when he was feuding with Bully Ray for the World Title. And I don't think they were bad. But they weren't great.

But, you have to consider that he would have had a lot more promo cutting opportunities if he was pushed sooner. Young AJ wasn't anything special on the mic either.
