He came close to the main event many times. I think they could've definitely put the belt on him at some point in 2000 and 2001. Seems like everyone else got a reign.

They should of done something with Buff in WWE team him with Godfather or Venis (called them Double Pentration) Buff was awesome

But for Buff I don't think it would have been realistic to push him far in the mid to late 90s when you had Hogan, Sting, DDP, Nash and Goldberg at the height of their powers still

I believe as the story goes, Vince immediately turned on him after that Raw main event match he had with Booker T. Which was like the "trial run" for giving the WCW guys their own show. I wouldn't say it was Buff's fault at all, he just got the raw end of that deal.

Jesus everything in wcw seems like mess commemtary orgnaztion booking like you can clearly see Flair blade

But it's hard to imagine Buff mixing it up with guys like Austin, Rock, Jericho, Angle, Taker, etc. Buff's look and wrestling style was very much stuck in the 90s I always thought.
