Online is way better. I din't even care if 6 even has a story mode. I just want a new map for online and better customization for my character.

In online there is, but I'm nit sure about story mode. Online gets new a patch every two or so months with new stuff to play with.

Not really. Although, you can go into passive mode. Actually, if you're just doing missions, you can do them alone.
