Vader was WCW Champion at the time. They were doing weird shit with both the NWA and the WCW title for a bit.

He held the WCW title for most of '93

Like the NWA and WCW finally completely split ties while Flair was NWA champ in '93, and they just kept the belt and renamed it the WCW International Championship and had two world title for a year until they were unified in '94 and they kept the Big Gold Belt
