I mean whoever it is will be down the line a good ways, if I make it there I kinda know who I want to hold the belt through Starrcade I think

As far as the product I want a pretty even split. Popularity and charisma will be important of course but I don't want to stick with all the usual suspects either, just because they have the established names.

But luckily my most popular stars are all pretty well rounded anyways. Goldberg, Booker, Nash, DDP, Sid, Steiner... all solid.

The reason I was asking is if the answer was a new direction and you value work Lance Storm is a guy you could put the belt and let one of your top babies chase for a few months for a good payoff.

Booker T for instance I’d keep as one of your marquee players so I’d either let him take it first or as I said let him chase Lance Storm.

Yeah. I like Storm a lot but I don't feel he has the character or presence to be the WCW World Champion. Mike Awesome would be a much more likely candidate.

I think "star quality" is really what makes or breaks most of the fringe guys. And that's a big weakness for Storm.

That’s why I was asking. I feel Storm has most of the tools to be a top guy unless you need that star it factor.

I like Awesome a lot, but I’d put Storm over him for a first champ in your era.

If you can sign RVD, as he was talking to WCW after ECW closed he might be an idea.

Yeah but EC said it'd be awhile before a new guy won their first WCW title, so Awesome being the first "first" WCW champion under him would still work, give it time to build him up instead of pushing someone into the main event too soon.
