Tracfone was the same way, their old flip phones would work but when they transitioned to smart phones the data on them wouldn't work in our area so they stopped selling them and people got so frustrated because they couldn't get a new phone anymore and had to switch services, it's life.

That’s weird they won’t work there, since as far as I know they use other peoples towers, mainly Verizon.

I just found a coverage map and there are dead zones in iowa apparently yeah lol

Like just in the middle of widespread coverage these poor people just don't have anything

Yeah, the phones would work on other towers but if the company sees you in an area where they have no service they wont let you activate the phone because it costs them more money for you to roam

I use US Mobile because it's fast and unlimited for $25 a month and they just use Verizon tower.s

The lack of coverage would feel targeted to me if I lived there

My phone and the Disney/Hulu bundle is the last thing I get to mooch off my parents
