I'm not so sure it depends on what Vegeta we are talking about here. At that time Vegeta and Goku had so much beef he might of joined up with Thanos but if we are talking about Vegeta now that doesn't happen. Vegeta hated Frieza and had to work with him for survivor and in some ways fear till he thought he had enough strength to rebel against. Vegeta with the Infinity Stones would be awesome surely he would want Planet Vegeta back and try to bring back the Saiyans that had died from Frieza reign well some of them at least.

he hated how soft he had become on earth, actually caring about people and everything. So he wanted to become how he was before.

Legit if Itachi or Sasuke went against Thanos they would give him major problems. I think Vegeta was so horny to want to face Goku when he returned to Earth he did everything to get his wish to have another fight with him.
