Yeah, that would probably be true. I might even buy it as the longest running feud over the women's title at that point. But longest running wrestling storyline ever? Come on.

It was probably the longest feud over that incarnation of the women's title as well

What qualifies as a break? It might be tough to say because most long storylines do have detours in them. Sometimes those detours play into the larger story and sometimes they don't.

Break can't be anymore than Trish/Mickie had

Which was none I believe from Mickie's debut to 'Mania. You could say it really started later than Mickie's debut though, I'd buy that argument most likely

But yeah I agree it's hard af to actually think about it bc like HBK/HHH had a long ass one but they stopped and had full feuds with other people in between that had no basis on their feud with each other

WWE definitely considers HHH/HBK to be one long feud from 02-04 though, they've mentioned it a few times on things I've seen like it was.

Like Sting vs. nWo obviously comes to mind immediately but it's not like Sting was wrestling Hogan, Hall or Nash continuously for a year, nor were the nWo focused solely on Sting

So on that basis, maybe what Trish said isn't that absurd

Hmm I think I agree with you that Trish isn't as absurd on this basis but I also think I'd count Sting/nWo bc it was almost more important than whatever guy Hogan was beating that night so even though Sting wasn't wrestling it was still continuous

But then you also have Austin vs. McMahon, which was definitely continuous for way longer than 8 months
