I’ll be honest though outside of them not wanting to push Daniel Brian 2011 to 2015 WWE is one of my top favorite WWE periods of all time. It wasn’t until the brand split in 2016 that WWE just death spiraled into some thing I just could not care about.

to be honest I don’t think he ever was a very good booker. He just booked at a time when booking was so much simpler. He also had Pat who most from that time said was a genius. And if you look at like the second wrestling became more modern, he always had someone else booking. He was just the editor. And that’s the reason why WWE started to tank so much once he got to around 2010 is because he had the team of writers by that point and then he would still rip up the script on the day off and rewrite it, even though he was no good at it.

It’s just a weird backwards way of doing things when Vince used to know better. First of all every Booker who’s ever been asked about it in a podcast whether you want to call them bitter or not has openly said that you can’t work by committee first of all anytime someone try to do a committee it’s not worked let alone a team of writers. If you have like 10 people writing a show you don’t have a vision and it’s gonna suck. So that was the first thing but then you’re not even gonna let them Complete a script you’re going to rewrite the whole thing in an hour yourself? That just shows you that not only did Vince not trust his team to have a vision he didn’t have one himself because you can’t write a show in an hour that had any thought put into the future of your stories.

Pat Patterson was Vince's consiglierge in a way and could always temper him, but when Pat fully retired from the creative team in the 2000s, Vince lost that guy that could tell him no; it was all downhill from there.
