I'll also say this about Verne; he absolutely revolutionized the business by being the one to fully break from the NWA and get not only a nationally syndicated TV show, but have his own world champion, which the WWWF would do three years later.

I do find it interesting though how WWE's successfully revised history to be "Vince was the first to go national" when Verne had a national show already going in the 70s. :draper2

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an AWA mark before I came across you, but I have to say I respect it. It’s especially odd considering it died ages before you were born, but I can’t knock it.

Jeff Jarrett's constant TNA nonsense, Triple H's reign of terror, Inoki's faux-MMA booking, JBL's forever reign.
The other problem with HHH is that he was trying to be a big match spectacle worker and he's just not

was he also touring nationally? I feel that was the larger part of the claim. He disrespected the territories.

I liked Triple H during his reign of terror, Cena and all of his title reigns, Punk’s long reign, Roman’s current reign, and MJF’s reign I guess I like long title reigns

I once heard HBK/Cena from Mania 23 described as "Shawn trying to do a HHH match and completely surpassing anything he ever did"

HHH was one of my absolute favorite wrestlers in 2002 so I had absolutely no problem with him being the main character. The rock and Stone had just left so Raw needed the stability of the top star. The only thing I disagreed with is he should’ve put Booker T over and then he could’ve taken the belt back six months later later.

I’ve seen people say MJF’s reign nearly killed AEW and I would have to hard disagree with those people. I loved his reign and he was a highlight for me

He also crossed a line that you don't cross with booking if you ever want to be face again

I really liked it too and was shocked at the pushback a lot of it got. shame Cole got injured too because that was setting up to be such an awesome betrayal.
