I do find it very odd that for years the sentiment was ''well at least they are getting their bag'' when ppl would end up re-signing with WWE but a group of weird loud ppl are very upset that a japanese man and black woman got paid their worth

I've always found that Convo so funny tho, people get so mad when you do t have hard rules for how talent should be treated bc talent simply want different things out of their lives

that's still pretty insulting to both the talent and aew but ya. that's implying that arent actually worth what they were paid. I also think it's funny because I'd be willing to bet the WWE offers and AEW offers on all those contracts were very similar in numbers

If a guy is perfectly content getting paid in catering I'm happy for them. If they're loudly complaining they want out and they aren't even being booked, I want them released. If they sign somewhere purely for money good for them, of they sign somewhere for opportunity then also good for them

its pretty common in sports too when ppl sign for teams that arent their own. guess were finally seeing it with wrestling fandom, just didnt for a long time cuz there was only one game in town for 20 years

I think the Mercedes one has made people really dumb bc they interpret her being the highest paid as meaning she's the best, that's never been true even in sports. Some C tier quarterbacks were temporarily the highest paid QBs on the NFL until the next superstar signed a new contract after the c tier one broke the cap first
