Was John Lennon an abusive husband and kind of a bad father, and had a hair trigger temper that paired with drug abuse made him the worst version of himself? Sure. None of that is actually in dispute, not even by John himself. John has openly admitted that he was a terrible person in the 60s because of the pressures of fame from the Beatles and his heroin addiction, and all the other drug use and depression he had that he never got therapy for. But I don't think John was ever a racist. He was definitely slightly homophobic for sure though, but again, he admitted that he hated that he had his own biases and always worked to try and be a better person.
