in all seriousness, one of the problems online too is you'll get 200 ppl asking WHO with a douchy gif, so when you get person 201 asking you who but are genuinely asking, they may get mistaken for a troll and get shat on

not excusing it either, but as someone who has read countless dismissive trolling over the last 5 years, it can be grating and cause you to take genuine criticism or questions automatically as bad faith lol
