i forgot about Jay too, and yeah Ospreay is gone, like 0.1% he re-signs but I just can't see it. too much money in aew and wwe to pass

I do think they are just slowly pulling out of the US or making it more an occasional thing. just the way they arent re-upping talent, using a lot of one off aew or impact talents on the us shows as well as their japanese guys, and of course, most of the people now getting pushes are homegrown

To be fair, if they don’t have an actual tv show anymore, no need for a separate roster. Just use the same people wrestling in Japan. You should have enough Gajins to bring to the US for those shows, sprinkle a few Japanese wrestlers in and fill the rest with AEW, TNA and MLW wrestlers. Isn’t that the point of having three US partners?

I kind of blame Tony and WBD, taking off Dark from youtube kind of turned ROH into a similar version of it instead of being its own studio show as it was intentionally announced

Identity is a good way to put it. I was thinking about making a thread recently asking if it was time to talk about ROH because in all honesty the brand really doesn’t exist. They have the titles, but no real promotion. The vast majority of ROH angles happen on AEW TV. Most of the champions appear on AEW tv. No exclusive roster. And the tv show is basically AEW dark. Now on HonorClub.

I will be patient though, it took NXT a long ass time to be something worthwhile - these things were very rushed in AEW, like a lot was rushed and decided on the spot in the last I wanna say like 14 months or so, so I do expect things to eventually be a lot better and more thewir own thing

and ya I agree with you, the belts are prestigious and matter - the show does not matter outside Athena. there are other scool minor stories, but it is the Athena show
