But on the other hand, people like Drake are making their albums like an hour and a half long because it makes it easier to get RIAA certifications that way

For sure. But like... he goes platinum on the first day of his album releasing due to the streaming

And if you drop singles before the album, all those streams also go towards your certification

So he puts like 20 songs on an album to get more numbers
