I was looking forward to the Metal Gear games coming to new systems but I've read they kinda suck.

well, the ps5/xbox versions sound decent but switch plays at 30fps when the OG game played at 60

But the 2D era def holds up better graphically

Honestly it's true. Although nowadays there's HD mods out there that make some early 3D era games look really good.

That does look pretty good.

I have the Playstation Classic console and I have FF7,8,9 on it as well as Resident Evil 1-3 and I turn scanlines on and it looks pretty decent.

Oh for sure, some games age better.

plus I have Suikoden 1 and 2 on it and Metal Gear Solid

I think Resident Evil and Final Fantasy especially age particularly well.

Thankfully, most of those games have been revamped for newer systems
