This is about Orange Cassidy and it's true. May have been a more longterm thing but his act has been MUCH better from when AEW first started and even early pandemic stuff.
He's figured out how to make his shtick make sense, which is why I always hated him at the beginning.
I will give credit the way they had him go heel when he did was perfect. Everyone hated him so they made him someone we were supposed to hate. But if only he were worth watching in the ring. He was never originally in NXT right they just put him straight to the main roster?
Doms first ever official match was at Summerslam against Seth Rollins. Yeah WWE may have had him work a guy at the PC in preparation for that but his first official match (for any company) was at Summerslam. No indies, no international, no NXT. To my knowledge aside from Ronda Rousey no full-time wrestlers have ever had their first ever match on WWETV.
I’ve never found Dom to be particularly bad in the ring per say. He’s not great but he’s also been in the spotlight since he’s started it’s gotta be a lot of pressure and I’d say right now he’s putting on decent enough matches.

When he started it felt like he had to think about how to do everything. Which makes sense given he had never wrestled before. Now he feels like things are coming more naturally. I mean he'll never be his father (or his Papi), but he can do the moves, and he's over like rover right now, which is fucking bonkers given where he was 16 months ago.
