Raw was damn good this week.....people were saying that until people heard Vince was backstage.

I looked at the comments on the Fightful select post, and deadass the vast majority of them said it was a great move all around.

Ciampa coming back and having a 15 minute clinic with the top guy on RAW, barely losing to Seth and maybe even getting the nod from Rollins afterwards wouldn't have hurt him one bit. Quite the opposite, I'd say... it would immediately put him on a pedestal and making him a viable future threat. ... Vince changing that just oozes the same business as usual shit in which he doesn't trust "one of those indy guys" and rather have them go through months of pointless midcard feuds until they lose all their momentum.

I love ya Looch but that's a load of bullshit and you know it. It kills Rollins having a hard time with a guy that's been out forever and was pretty much a midcard guy at best before it. Not to mention Ciampa loses any and all momentum if he loses right out the gate. And it puts a bow on the Miz/Ciampa stuff from last year so it closes a storyline at the same time. Literally this was the best option for everyone involved.
