you need to beat the deku tree boss yes but you also need to get all the tears

maybe that's why. I read its just on a dragon thats flying around and it showed its path so i sat there waiting for a long ass time once and it never showed.

so then i read if you beat the deku tree it will put it on your map.

the deku tree quest lets you track it

the hyrule shield is actually easy to get.

but im not sure if it will appear before the tears quest, as i didnt do it in that order
