I went with the story that it was sold to Chris-Craft Industries, who were half partners with Viacom in the formation of UPN. The timing and everything just worked out well that I think it's a very solid, feasible backstory that they're basically acquiring WWF to create more original programming for their fledgling network.

yeah I think that works better in BTBs than in practice. the majority of wrestlers are cruiserweights at this point or smaller
