To expound on this, it's was probably likely even if Verne offered Hogan a friendlier deal, he might have still gone to WWF.

Well, you could say Vince's mishandling of Hall and Nash is what helped WCW get to that place. Just cause, honestly, the Outsiders is what set WCW on that upward trajectory.

That's actually not quite true tbf, WCW's house show and television ratings started jumping up as soon as the Flair/Savage feud started happening. The Outsiders and nWo though brought in a lot of WWF fans tho.
