I think Hangman's storyline for his chase for the title was peak. I think what made it click for people was the fact he felt realistic as a character. His storyline was built a lot on him having insecurities, anxieties, and strained relationships with friends. Him finding friends in the Dark Order which, oddly enough, because of real life tragedy, made it the more heartwarming. Him, even with him doing well in matches, falling at the finish line a couple times, like losing to Cage when he was top ranked, him being anxious about facing Omega, losing the elimination match. It's a heartwarming story and I think I can relate to as someone who has anxiety.
