sounds more like a misunderstanding there, and I think the reason why they wanted Mox to go over and for Punk to conquer him at all out is because Mox was probably supposed to turn heel much sooner than he did

I think that was just about the Dynamite match, everyone has said for awhile the squash was Moxley's idea so I could see him pushing for that hard. Being adamant about beating someone to lose to them back two weeks later isn't exactly "refusing to lose" but I could buy Punk interpreting it that way with how his brain works
