Solid theme. David Finlay is working a huge uphill battle. He has big shoes to fill. Even if Jay and to a degree Kenny had something to "prove" before people saw them as worthy to carry the BC leadership role, they were somewhat set up for it then exceeded expectations. David's rise to BC leader was far more out of left-field since Kenny was already in the BC and was the Jr Ace post-Devitt, then Jay White already had wins over Okada, Omega, Tanahashii one on one before taking over.

I did peep some of his matches since the turn and he is pretty vicious and old school which is a nice difference from the last leader who was more sneaky and conniving

The worst thing going for him rn is he looks too much like a Jay White clone, especially with Gedo. But what little I've seen of the Cup he seems much different in-ring

yes not his fault but he looks like wish dot com Jay White physically

That's good. I've been able to see some promos from him and they're competent, but his heel persona isn't fleshed out yet. He just seems generically pissed off. Kenny was ott and like a modern day anime villain, AJ was the cunning vet, Devitt was a vicious badass, and Jay White I can basically describe him as a warmonger and arrogant psychopath.

He drives wedges between people and does what he can to take their dreams for his own. Against Naito, he wanted to "Take his Destino" when Kota wanted to be double champ, Kota wanted to become "God" and match his idols. Jay wanted to take it for himself and so on

And also, at the time, each BC leader has had a unique presentation. AJ's had his presentation he has used for years, except he evolved it by the end of his TNA run and into ROH then NJPW, Devitt had the black trunks, the light up jacket, the paint on occasion (before it became generic spooky BS) Kenny had his terminator like look with video game inspiration, Jay White looked like a proper psychopath and was fleshing out his Switchblade persona by the time he was in BC.

Even EVIL for his temp leader position and subunit position has his Reaper like persona which he's modified into a general since joining BC
