No. He's a Jr Heavyweight and primarily in Impact. If you want someone primarily in Japan, it'd probably be ELP who fits it the best. But not a single member is really groomed to the leadership role.

I think Jay White kept it alive by going back to its pre-AJ roots more than anything. Though less international pull, it filled the role of the main antagonists of New Japan. It'd have been even stronger if it wasn't for the pandemic fucking them.
