IIRC it was the original cut that showed at the Cannes Film Festival once, and never again, but some fans have pieced together all the existing footage from the film and put it into a 2 1/2 hour supercut of the film.

Since sadly, not all versions of the original film are the same

The cinematic cut is more streamlined, has a little less social commentary, but is more... I guess, palatable, to audiences?

The director's cut is heavy in social commentary but boy the pacing is... not good?

Then there's the Argento cut, which has the fucking awesome soundtrack by Goblin, is all-action, is a scant 119 minutes, and has zero social commentary.
