Does WWE run MSG for house shows instead of TV sometimes due to the costs being lower if it's not broadcast or something? I've always wondered why that seemed to be a thing

Honestly, even at Dolans worst 5 years ago you had the Mets under the Wilpons who were running a small market team in NY, the Islanders who were barely surviving and threatening to move. He wasn't the worst run team in the area.

I do think it costs more to run TV out of the Garden, but the other thing is during this time with both the Knicks and Rangers active and getting first crack at the venues booking Mondays or Fridays could be difficult.

They're a well-run outfit now. Back when they were in Nassau Coliseum and the town wouldn't let them build a new venue so they were stuck in a shithole that was the problem. Wasn't the owners fault Charles Wang literally offered to spend over a billion dollars to build a new venue on the site of the old one but the town said no cause they suck.

yeah they pretty ok now. they had a horrible GM for a long ass time and that also did not help their stock.
